About the Investments division
DWS boasts a truly global and integrated Investment division, with a significant presence in APAC, EMEA, and the US. Spanning 17 locations worldwide, we engage with the most vital financial markets globally, encompassing both liquid and illiquid asset classes.
The Investment Division includes all portfolio management activities including active, passive and alternative Investment strategies as well as trading. The investment process in the Investment Division starts with proprietary research and our CIO view, which is used for portfolio construction and portfolio implementation.
As an Investments Intern you will:
Support our UK Xtrackers team with a range of tasks including but not limited to the following;
· Observing portfolio events/trades and gaining a deep understanding of how ETFs are built and managed to achieve superior returns for our clients.
· Monitoring the public bond, equity and ETF markets, assessing relative value, and providing investment recommendations for specific securities that are aligned with the strategy of portfolios.
· Running product and market analytics such as product comparisons and peer/benchmark metrics.
· Participating in internal meetings with portfolio managers and conducting research as part of the investment decision making process.
· Partnering with Client Coverage and client facing teams to provide commentary on macro events, investment performance and strategies for existing and prospective clients.
· Supporting the Portfolio Engineering and/or Capital Markets teams with ad hoc requests and projects as required.
The DWS Internship is an opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experience. Individual projects, participation in speaker sessions and networking events will all be part of the internship. Whilst you can expect a high learning curve from our internship, you will benefit from the support of your managers and mentors along with unparalleled exposure to the world of Asset Management. This internship is an ideal way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations. Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. program the following year.
- You must hold valid right to work in the UK from June through to August 2025.
- You must be available to work full-time (including a minimum of 2 days per week in the London office) from June through to August2025.
- You must be enrolled and on track to graduate from a bachelor’s or master’s degree in 2026.
- Must possess less than 12 months of full-time, relevant work experience (excluding other internships).
