About the Chief Financial Office division
Finance provides timely, accurate, relevant and independent financial information and analysis to meet internal and external reporting requirements, drives resource allocation, challenges and enables business decisions and safeguards the financial position of the firm. Our work helps maximize the sustainable performance of the firm across its divisions.
Finance ensures that DWS meets all financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and stock-listed company. To maintain the firm’s financial health, Finance holds the DWS organization accountable for external and internal communicated targets and commitments, hence an accurate and transparent reporting is key to identify risk & opportunities. As a partner of the business Finance is performing deep dives, sensitivity analyses on the financial performance, competitor benchmarking and supports strategic initiatives and portfolio measures. The Finance department covers a broad range of activities like: Group Finance, Tax, Investor Relations, Planning & Performance Management, Treasury, Regional Finance/CFO, Treasury, Financial Control & Oversight, Finance Sustainability, Compensation Control as well as change enablers (Finance Change).
The Risk function is part of the CFO division. Risk has group-wide responsibility for the management of corporate and fiduciary risks as well as for the comprehensive control of risk, and ongoing development of methods for risk measurement. In addition, Risk is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and reporting risk on a comprehensive basis. Risk and capital management is performed via a frame work of principles, organizational structures and measurement and monitoring processes that are closely aligned with the underlying business activities and associated risk profile.
DWS Procurement is a global team of 50+ colleagues based out of UK, Germany, US, India and the Philippines. We service all of our business globally. The teams are split into Category Management: sourcing, commercial and contractual negotiations, contracting, working very closely with our business stakeholders and Legal, Strategic Supplier Relationship Management: commercial, contract and service relationship management of our key, strategic supplier partners, Third Party Risk Management: pre and post deal management of risk across several risk types, Outsourcing Office: central oversight and management of our outsourcing portfolio.
As our DWS Grad you will:
· Gain a deep insight into how the Finance, Risk ,Procurement functions and enable the success of the firm
· Collaborate with CFO leaders and team members to assist with the development and execution of key CFO strategies
· Support your team to provide financial analyses and insights to DWS management
· Gain insight into the expectation of our regulators, standards and stakeholders
· Monitor, analyze, and report data on firm’s financials and portfolios ’investment risks
· Support the development of solutions to measure, analyze, and report financials and risks

Our 2-year P.A.C.E. program consists of a technical training period and is followed by four six-month rotations within your assigned division, where you will have the opportunity to implement your technical training in a practical setting with expert guidance.
