Anti Financial Crime (AFC) performs a critical role in keeping DWS' business operations clean from financial crime whilst serving the interests of the firm and society at large. AFC cooperates closely with regulatory authorities and contributes to the fight against cybercrime. Areas of responsibility include adherence and policy management for anti-fraud, bribery & corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and embargoes.
Compliance is mandated by regulators to be a fully independent control function that monitors, assesses, and trains on compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and internal policies. The team provides advice on compliance to the management body and other relevant staff, and establishes policies and processes to manage compliance risks.

As an Intern in AFC & Compliance, you will have the opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experience. Individual projects, participation in speaker sessions and networking events will all be part of the internship. Whilst you can expect a high learning curve from our internship, you will benefit from the support of your managers and mentors along with unparalleled exposure to the world of Asset Management.
- You must be enrolled and on track to graduate from a bachelor’s or master’s degree in 2026.
- You must be available to work full-time (including a minimum of 2 days per week in the London office) from June - August 2025.
- You must have right to work in the UK for the duration of the program.
- You must possess less than 12 months of full-time, relevant work experience (excluding other internships).
